NVIDIA is gearing up to launch its RTX 50 series, and reports confirm that the GeForce RTX 5080 will debut before the RTX 5090. According to recent leaks, the RTX 5080 is set to release in mid-January 2025, while the RTX 5090 will follow just a few weeks later, likely by late January or mid-February.
As reported by Wccftech, the RTX 5080 will feature 16 GB of GDDR7 memory with blazing-fast transfer speeds of up to 32 Gbps. This positions the RTX 5080 as a competitive option against high-end cards like the RTX 4070 and 4060. Notably, the RTX 5080 is expected to include 10,752 CUDA cores and consume 400W of power, slightly lower than the RTX 5090’s 21,760 CUDA cores.
CES 2025 is expected to primarily focus on the RTX 5080, with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang likely to unveil more details about the RTX 5090 shortly after. Based on the leaked information, the RTX 50 series promises to deliver next-generation performance enhancements, offering higher efficiency and reduced power consumption.
