FIFA has announced that there will be an additional summer transfer window in football.
The innovation is related to the World Club Championship. The additional transfer window will operate from June 1 to June 10, 2025, while the tournament starts on June 15.
The decision is due to the fact that some footballers’ contracts may expire during the World Club Championship. Thus, clubs will be able to find replacements for departing players before the start of the tournament.
From June 15 to July 13, the Club World Cup with a new format will be held in the USA. 32 football clubs will participate in the tournament.
