Armenia and France Sign 2025 Defense Cooperation Program

On December 10, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia hosted the signing of the Armenia-France Defense Cooperation Program for 2025, encompassing several dozen initiatives. This agreement strengthens the strategic partnership between the two nations and establishes new grounds for deepening collaboration.

The Armenia-France strategic defense consultations were led by Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Defense Policy and International Cooperation Department of Armenia’s Ministry of Defense, and Alexandre Escorsia, Head of the Europe, North America, and Multilateral Cooperation Division of the Directorate General for International Relations and Strategy of the French Ministry of Armed Forces.

During the consultations, the parties reviewed the achievements of 2024 within the framework of the existing cooperation and outlined plans for 2025. Both sides emphasized the strategic importance of the growing partnership and set higher goals for future collaboration.

Key areas of cooperation include defense planning, military education, joint training, advisory support, preparation of various military units, military-technical exchanges, and several other domains.
