The Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia: A New Exhibition Opens at the History Museum

The History Museum of Armenia is set to reopen its exhibition titled “The Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia: By the Grace of God” on December 26, offering visitors a unique glimpse into the illustrious history of the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia.

According to the Ministry of ESCS, the exhibition will cover the period of the Armenian statehood in Cilicia from the 11th to the 14th century. It will provide an opportunity for visitors to explore the formation of the Cilician principality and the development of the Armenian state during this historic period.

The exhibition will feature valuable items from the museum’s numismatic collection, including coins from the principality and the kingdom of Cilicia, as well as coins from contemporary states. Visitors will also see genealogical charts of royal families and silk garments, which highlight the cultural and political achievements of the powerful Armenian state in Cilicia.

These unique artifacts will allow visitors to immerse themselves in the history of the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia, reliving its glorious era and understanding its historical significance.
