The Artsakh Union and the Human Rights Defender of Artsakh have launched a crucial data collection initiative focused on documenting the destruction and misappropriation of homes and properties by Azerbaijani authorities in occupied areas of Artsakh. This systematic effort aims to compile comprehensive evidence for submission to international legal bodies, paving the way for potential legal action and seeking justice for affected residents.
Artak Beglaryan, former State Minister and Human Rights Defender of Artsakh, announced on his Facebook page that individuals with information regarding the destruction or misappropriation of their homes or properties, and who wish to pursue legal action in international courts, can complete a dedicated questionnaire.
The questionnaire is accessible via a Google Forms link Google Forms. The collected data will be used exclusively for international legal proceedings and will only be utilized with the explicit written consent of the data provider. This ensures the protection of sensitive information and respects individual privacy.
This initiative is designed to support residents of occupied Artsakh in defending their property rights and seeking international recognition of the consequences of Azerbaijani aggression. The data-driven approach will involve the meticulous collection of documents and materials, laying the groundwork for further legal and advocacy efforts.
The Artsakh Union and the Human Rights Defender urge widespread dissemination of this information to maximize participation in the data collection process. By gathering comprehensive evidence, this initiative aims to hold those responsible accountable and seek redress for the victims of these actions.
