CESENA, Italy (Azat TV) – Ashley Cole, the former England and Chelsea defender renowned as one of his generation’s premier left-backs, has been appointed as the head coach of Italian Serie B club Cesena. This marks Cole’s first senior managerial role since transitioning into coaching in 2019.

Cole’s Coaching Journey Culminates in Serie B Role

Cole began his coaching career within Chelsea’s academy following his retirement as a player. He subsequently gained experience with spells at Everton, Birmingham City, and with the England U21 national team. The club confirmed that Cole has signed a contract through June 30, 2026, with an option for extension.
