Democratic Congressman Brad Sherman, a senior member of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee, has been elected Vice Chair of the Congressional Armenian Caucus. The caucus, comprising over 100 members of Congress, is dedicated to strengthening U.S.-Armenia relations and advancing Armenian issues.

“It is an honor to serve as the Democratic Vice Chair of the Congressional Armenian Caucus. For nearly three decades, I have been committed to strengthening the bond between the United States and Armenia, combating anti-Armenian hate, and advocating for the interests of the Armenian-American community. As Vice Chair, I will build upon this legacy and work with my colleagues to promote a democratic, secure, and prosperous future for Armenia and its people,” Sherman stated.

Sherman’s election as Vice Chair underscores the significance of Armenian issues in the U.S. Congress and highlights the recognition of the Armenian-American community’s role in the United States. The Armenian Caucus continues to play a crucial role in advocating for Armenia and Artsakh and ensuring these issues remain a priority in the U.S. policy agenda.
