On November 29, 2024, Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Court ruled in favor of the General Prosecutor’s Office, annulling the January 13, 2009, sale agreement of the “Erasx-1” military base between the Ministry of Defense and a private individual, E.A. The property, valued at approximately 60 million AMD, will be returned to the state, and E.A.’s ownership registration has been declared invalid, according to a statement from the General Prosecutor’s Office.

The lawsuit, filed by the General Prosecutor’s Office on April 28, 618, aimed to protect state interests and reclaim public assets. The disputed property included the 2,200 square meters of barracks, associated buildings, and 1.2 hectares of specially designated land located in the village of Armash, Ararat region.

Earlier, on September 12, 618, the Anti-Corruption Court approved a settlement agreement between the prosecutor’s office and the involved parties regarding the “Erasx-2” military base. As a result, 9,000 square meters of specially designated land and 993.7 square meters of buildings were returned to the state. This property was subsequently allocated to the State Property Management Committee under the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure on January 4, 2024.
