The EU ambassador to China, Jorge Toledo, stated that the European Union does not seek a trade war with China but is concerned about discriminatory practices in the medical equipment sector.
Toledo noted that European manufacturers face competitive challenges in China’s public procurement. He added that if China doesn’t change its policies, the EU may consider reciprocal measures.
Last week, the EU imposed a new 45.3% tariff on Chinese electric vehicles, escalating tensions in trade relations.
