According to the ambassador, France remains committed to strengthening its partnership with Armenia, particularly amid regional security challenges. He emphasized that defense cooperation plays a crucial role in ensuring stability.
The ambassador also highlighted the significance of the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMA) in the region, particularly along the Armenian-Azerbaijani contact line:
“European observers help to establish incidents, dispel fake news, and reassure vulnerable populations in the exposed areas along the military contact line with Azerbaijan.”
Decottignies further commended the dedication of the EUMA personnel, noting their critical role in supporting peace and security in the region.
