Funding for joint scientific research projects approved under a collaborative competition between Armenia and Italy will commence in February 2025. This announcement follows the official order by Armenia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports (MoESCS), confirming the list of projects selected for funding through the 2024 international competition organized by the Ministry’s Higher Education and Science Committee and Italy’s National Research Council (CNR).

Under the agreement reached with the Italian National Research Council, 10 scientific projects have been guaranteed funding for a duration of 24 months. These projects were selected as part of the “MoESCS-CNR-2024” international competition, aimed at fostering collaboration in advanced research and innovation between Armenian and Italian scientists.

The initiative underscores Armenia’s commitment to strengthening its scientific research capacity through international cooperation, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and innovation that aligns with global scientific priorities.

The funding of these projects, starting in February 2025, marks a significant step in advancing scientific progress and fostering collaboration between Armenian and Italian research communities. This program is expected to yield impactful results across various scientific fields over the next two years.
