Lieutenant General Edward Asryan, First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, participated in the “Military Perspectives on Total Defense” panel discussion at the Munich Security Conference on February 15. The panel discussion, held in the format of chiefs of defense staff, was organized at the invitation of the Chief of Defense Staff of the German Armed Forces and aimed to summarize the results of high-ranking military officials’ participation in the conference.

According to the Armenian Ministry of Defense, General Asryan held separate meetings with the chiefs of defense staff of the United States, Sweden, Germany, and Latvia. The details of these discussions were not released, but it can be assumed that the meetings covered topics such as prospects for bilateral and multilateral cooperation, regional security issues, and other matters of mutual interest.
