JERUSALEM (Azat TV) – The Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has issued a stark warning, stating that major European capitals, including Berlin, Paris, and Rome, could fall within the operational range of Iranian long-range missile systems. The alert comes as Iran demonstrates advancements in its missile capabilities, posing a potentially broader threat beyond the Middle East.

Iranian Missile Capabilities Expand

The warning was articulated following the launch of a long-range missile by Iran, reportedly capable of reaching approximately 4,000 kilometers. This development marks a significant expansion of Iran’s missile reach. An illustration accompanying the statement depicted concentric circles representing missile ranges from Iran, starting at 300 km and extending to 4,000 km, a distance that would encompass large swathes of Europe, as well as parts of Asia and Africa.

Global Threat Acknowledged

The IDF statement emphasized that the Iranian regime’s missile development constitutes a global threat. “We have been saying it: The Iranian terrorist regime poses a global threat. Now, with missiles that can reach London, Paris or Berlin,” the statement read. This assertion builds upon previous intelligence shared by the IDF in June 2025 during Operation Rising Lion, when it was revealed that Iran intended to develop missiles with a 4,000 km range. At the time, the Iranian regime reportedly denied these intentions.

Pattern of Regional Attacks

The Israeli military leadership pointed to a pattern of aggression, noting that the Iranian regime has carried out attacks against 12 countries in the region. The newly developed long-range missile capability is seen as an extension of this broader threat, potentially escalating geopolitical tensions and requiring increased vigilance from European nations. The IDF stressed that Iran’s actions underscore its role as a destabilizing force with ambitions extending far beyond its immediate neighborhood.

The escalating range of Iranian missile technology, now potentially reaching European capitals, signals a critical shift in regional and global security dynamics, demanding a re-evaluation of deterrence strategies and international cooperation to counter the expanding threat.
