Armenian weightlifter Julieta Avanesyan won a gold medal at the U-20 European Weightlifting Championships, achieving a total of 235 kg in the combined events. Competing in the +87 kg weight category for under-20s, she snatched 108 kg, earning a small gold medal, and clean and jerked 127 kg for another gold medal.
