Barcelona’s training session saw the return of Dani Olmo. The player, currently in the final stage of his recovery, participated in part of the team’s training and aims to be included in the squad for the cup match against Valencia.
Midfielder Dani Olmo, who has been sidelined with a muscle injury since January 18th after the game against Getafe, took part in a portion of Barcelona’s training. Medical examinations revealed that Olmo suffered an overload in the soleus muscle of his right leg. Consequently, he missed the last four La Liga matches against Valencia and Alaves, as well as the Champions League games against Benfica and Atalanta.

If his recovery progresses as expected, Olmo could be available for Thursday’s quarter-final against Valencia. The situation with Gavi is different. The homegrown player had to leave the field in the opening minutes of Sunday’s game against Alaves after suffering a concussion in a collision with Argentine striker Tomas Conechny and was subsequently examined in a hospital. On Tuesday, he worked out in the gym, awaiting further evaluation before returning to team training.
Olmo’s return is crucial for Barcelona, as he is a key player for the team. His presence on the field can significantly strengthen the team’s attacking potential. The game against Valencia, being a cup tie, holds particular importance for the team, and Olmo’s participation could play a decisive role in the outcome of the match. Gavi’s condition is also a concern for the team, but his return is expected in the near future.
