Polish President Andrzej Duda, currently on an official visit to Armenia, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial on November 26. He was accompanied by Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Yerevan Deputy Mayor Armen Pambukhchyan, and Armenia’s Ambassador to Poland, Alexander Arzoumanian.
President Duda laid a wreath at the monument commemorating the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide. He and his delegation then placed flowers at the eternal flame and observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims.
During his visit, President Duda also toured the Memory Park, where he planted a silver fir tree as a tribute to the victims of the genocide.
Andrzej Duda’s visit to the Armenian Genocide Memorial highlights the strengthening ties between Poland and Armenia and serves as an important gesture of international recognition and respect for the memory of the genocide victims.
