Scout Motors is taking innovation to new heights with the announcement of built-in satellite connectivity for its upcoming electric vehicles. The Traveler SUV and Terra pickup, tailored for off-road enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers, will feature satellite communication capabilities straight from the factory.

Although the specifics of the satellite service provider remain undisclosed, Scout Motors has confirmed that the vehicles will be pre-wired for satellite hotspots. This feature aims to provide drivers and passengers with reliable connectivity, even in remote and rugged areas, ensuring they stay connected to the modern world while enjoying the great outdoors. The company describes the system as offering a “broad reach,” perfectly aligned with outdoor lifestyles.

This announcement follows Scout Motors’ unveiling of its first vehicles in October 2024. While the Traveler and Terra models are scheduled to hit the market in 2027, the company is steadily building anticipation around their cutting-edge features. The addition of satellite connectivity underscores Scout Motors’ commitment to delivering EVs that combine durable performance with state-of-the-art technology.

At CES 2025, Scout Motors plans to showcase these models alongside its new “Community UX” interface. Built on software developed through Rivian’s joint venture with Volkswagen, this user interface promises to enhance the driving experience with advanced connectivity and intuitive design.

With satellite connectivity as a standout feature, Scout Motors is positioning the Traveler and Terra as game-changers in outdoor mobility. As details unfold during CES, the company continues to solidify its reputation as a forward-thinking player in the EV market, offering adventurers a seamless blend of rugged capability and modern convenience.
