Shi Ming delivered a performance to remember at UFC Macau, claiming victory with a jaw-dropping head kick knockout that left her opponent, Feng Xiaocan, stretchered out of the octagon. This win secures Shi as the first-ever Road to UFC strawweight tournament champion, earning her a UFC contract in dramatic fashion.

The fight began with Shi struggling to overcome Feng’s physical advantages. With a five-inch height and six-inch reach deficit, Shi faced significant challenges in the first two rounds. Feng maintained control, seemingly on her way to a decision win, but Shi turned the tide in the third round with a perfectly timed head kick that ended the contest just 46 seconds into the final round.

The knockout left Feng on the canvas for several minutes before medical personnel carried her out on a stretcher. According to commentator John Gooden, Feng was later responsive in the ambulance and underwent a precautionary CT scan at the hospital. While she was reportedly able to move her limbs, she had no recollection of the knockout. Feng’s return home will depend on her medical clearance, with UFC staff ensuring her well-being in the meantime.

Shi’s victory improves her professional record to 17-5, marking her 11th win in her past 12 fights. In her post-fight interview, Shi expressed concern for Feng’s health, wishing her a full recovery.

The spectacular finish cements Shi Ming’s place as a rising star in the UFC. Fans will undoubtedly be looking forward to her next fight as she begins her UFC journey following this unforgettable debut on the Road to UFC stage.
