SpaceX has launched the world’s first wooden satellite, LignoSat, created in Japan by Kyoto University. The satellite, aimed at exploring renewable materials’ potential in space, will reach the International Space Station, 400 kilometers above Earth.
Kyoto University representative Takao Doi stated that wood could be used for building homes and workplaces in space in the future.
