Remaining Quota for Import of Electric Vehicles Customs Duty as of February 14, 2025

The State Revenue Committee (SRC) has released the remaining quota for the import of electric vehicles with customs duty exemption as of February 14, 2025. The quota set for 2025 was 8,000 units, of which 3,000 were allocated for companies importing under dealer-distributor agreements directly with the manufacturer, and 5,000 for other importers.

Quota Distribution and Utilization

According to the Armenian government’s decision of November 28, 2024, the quota was distributed as follows:

  • 3,000 units for importers with dealer-distributor agreements
  • 5,000 units for other importers (including individuals)

SRC data shows that as of February 14, 2025, the following has been processed under the customs duty exemption:

  • 412 units (13.7%) by importers with dealer-distributor agreements
  • 4,067 units (81.3%) by other importers

Remaining Quota

Therefore, as of February 14, 2025, the remaining quota for the import of electric vehicles with customs duty exemption is:

  • 2,588 units for importers with dealer-distributor agreements (1,000 – 412)
  • 933 units for other importers (5,000 – 4,067)
  • Total: 3,521 units
