An explosion occurred this morning in an apartment in the 13th microdistrict of Sumgait, Azerbaijan, leaving residents trapped under rubble.
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has reported that three people have been rescued so far. The search and rescue operations are ongoing, with teams from the State Fire Protection Service and the MES’s Special Risk Service actively working at the site.
The Republican Center for Emergency and Urgent Medical Aid stated that three individuals, born in 1977, 2007, and 2010, have been hospitalized with severe burns. One is in critical condition, while the other two are in moderate condition.
