Felix Baumann, the Swiss Ambassador to Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, has announced that the Swiss government plans to allocate $1.7 billion over the next four years for the restoration of damaged facilities in Ukraine.

“An important point of our cooperation remains the ‘Early Recovery’ programs, within which the Swiss government plans to allocate 1.5 billion Swiss francs over the next four years for rehabilitation programs in Ukraine,” the Ukrainian government portal quotes Baumann as saying.

Of these funds, 1 billion will be allocated to the areas of self-government, demining, and humanitarian aid, while the remaining funds will be allocated to reconstruction projects involving the Swiss private sector.
