Columbia, MD, January 4, 2025 – Tenable Holdings, Inc. has announced the passing of its Chairman and CEO, Amit Yoran, after a courageous battle with cancer. A visionary leader and pioneer in cybersecurity, Yoran joined Tenable in 2016, leading the company through significant growth, including a successful IPO in 2018.
“Amit was an extraordinary leader and dear friend,” said Art Coviello, Tenable’s Lead Independent Director. “His passion and vision shaped Tenable’s mission and culture, leaving a lasting legacy.”
In December 2024, Yoran took a medical leave, and CFO Steve Vintz and COO Mark Thurmond stepped in as Co-CEOs. Art Coviello has been named Chairman of the Board while the search for a permanent CEO continues.
Tenable confirmed that its preliminary Q4 and full-year 2024 results will meet or exceed guidance, reflecting the company’s resilience.
“Our thoughts are with Amit’s family during this difficult time,” the company stated.
