Schedule for the 2025 First Examination Session for External Graduates Announced in Armenia

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports (MoESCS) of Armenia has approved the procedure and schedule for the organization and implementation of the 2025 first examination session for external (extramural) graduates. The exams will take place from February 15 to March 15, 2025, inclusive.

Basic Education Graduation Exams

External graduates will take written exams in the following subjects:

  • World History
  • Geography of Armenia
  • Geography
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology

Oral exams will cover:

  • History of the Armenian Church
  • Social Studies
  • Informatics
  • Russian Language
  • Literature
  • Foreign Language (choice of English, French, German, or other languages)

Additionally, a practical test will be conducted for Physical Education.

Secondary Education Graduation Exams

To obtain a secondary education diploma, external graduates will take written exams in the following subjects:

  • World History
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Geography
  • Foreign Language (choice of English, French, German, or other languages)
  • Russian Language

Examination tests and question sets are prepared by the respective methodological units of schools or the Testing and Assessment Center (TAC), with at least 10 question sets per subject, graded on either a 10-point or 20-point scale.

Grading System

Grades from the 20-point scale are converted to a 10-point scale for inclusion in diplomas according to a specific equivalence chart:

  • 8-9 points = 4
  • 10-11 points = 5
  • 12-13 points = 6
  • 14-15 points = 7
  • 16-17 points = 8
  • 18-19 points = 9
  • 20 points = 10

Oral exams are evaluated on a 10-point scale and are considered annual grades.

Exam Location for External Graduates

Exams will be held at Yerevan High School No. 198, located in Nor Nork Administrative District, 9th Block, Vilnius 13/1.
