Citizens who were admitted to the world’s top 50 universities and obtained a postponement of military service may be exempt from mandatory service after completing their studies, provided they work in a government-designated sector within Armenia.
The exemption is said to apply to those who return to Armenia upon completing degree programs and meet the specified employment criteria as set by the government.
The government has outlined the terms under which these graduates could obtain latitude from conscription, centering on employment in sectors recognized as essential by national policy.
Officials emphasize that exemption is conditional on both academic completion and subsequent employment within the mandated sector.
