The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia has announced that due to the implementation of a new personal account system under the Tax Code reforms, several informational systems will be temporarily unavailable from December 31, 2024, to January 5, 2025. This update aims to streamline tax obligation accounting and provide a clearer and more efficient system for taxpayers.
The new system introduces two separate accounts for recording tax obligations: one for tax liabilities and another for obligations arising from administrative acts. Taxpayers will have the option to prioritize tax payments before their respective deadlines. Additionally, VAT credit procedures for goods imported from EAEU countries will also be revised, implementing more precise mechanisms for compliance.
Due to this system upgrade, taxpayers will not have access to the electronic tax reporting platform or specific online services during the mentioned period. Furthermore, the Individual Account Portal will remain inaccessible until January 15, 2025, preventing individuals from submitting mortgage-related income tax refund applications.
However, the e-invoicing and fiscal cash register (FCR) systems will continue to operate seamlessly. The SRC apologizes for any inconvenience caused and assures taxpayers that these changes will improve system efficiency and service delivery in the long term.
