ICJ Proceedings and Outcome
The representative reported that the latest such information was transferred to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on April 18 of the current year. This submission also requested the application of additional measures according to Rule 78 of the Court’s rules, supplementary to measures already applied. The Court had requested detailed information in response to Armenia’s demand, which was provided by Azerbaijan. As a result, the Court noted that “at this stage of the examination of the case,” the necessity for applying additional measures is absent. ECHR Proceedings and Azerbaijan’s Silence
The statement also claims that Azerbaijan is silent regarding obligations applied within the framework of proceedings at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) that are currently due for implementation by Azerbaijan. Furthermore, according to the representative, Azerbaijan does not mention decisions where the ECHR, based partly on arguments presented by Armenia, rejects Azerbaijan’s regularly submitted requests aimed at lifting interim measures.
