Armenia’s Top General Holds Bilateral Meetings with Greek, Georgian, French, and Swedish Defense Officials at NATO Headquarters

During his working visit to Brussels, Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan, First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, held significant bilateral meetings at NATO headquarters. According to the Armenian Ministry of Defense, he met with the Chiefs of Defense of Greece and Georgia and held discussions with senior defense officials from France and Sweden.

In meetings with his counterparts from Greece and France, both sides highlighted the high level of bilateral defense cooperation. Lieutenant General Asryan expressed his appreciation for the contributions of Athens and Paris to the ongoing transformation and development efforts of Armenia’s Armed Forces.

Discussions with Georgia’s Chief of Defense focused on practical steps to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly through the exchange of advanced expertise related to defense transformation. The meeting with Sweden’s representative centered on exploring opportunities to establish bilateral relations in the defense sector.

These engagements are of strategic importance for deepening Armenia’s international defense cooperation, fostering partnerships, and facilitating the exchange of ideas and expertise with regional and global partners on pressing security matters.
