ATLANTIC CITY (Azat TV) – Breeze Airways is set to launch a significant expansion starting in May 2026, introducing 14 new routes and adding three new cities to its network while restoring service to a fourth. The low-cost carrier’s latest growth initiative includes new international flights to Nassau, Bahamas, alongside expanded domestic connectivity to locations such as Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Brownsville/South Padre Island, Texas, aiming to bolster travel options in traditionally underserved markets.

New Destinations and Expanded Reach

The latest announcement from Breeze Airways, founded by JetBlue creator David Neeleman, confirms the addition of Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) in New Jersey, Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport (BRO) in Texas, and Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) in Nassau, Bahamas, to its route map. Additionally, the airline will resume service to San Antonio International Airport (SAT) in Texas, a market it last served in May 2022. This expansion brings Breeze’s total number of year-round and seasonal routes to over 300, serving 84 cities across the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

The new routes, a mix of seasonal and year-round offerings, will commence operations throughout May and June 2026, with introductory one-way fares starting as low as $39. Key new routes include:

  • Atlantic City (ACY) to Charleston, South Carolina (CHS), starting May 6, and to Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina (RDU), starting June 11.
  • Brownsville/South Padre Island (BRO) to Orlando International Airport (MCO), beginning May 15.
  • Nassau (NAS) to Tampa International Airport (TPA), launching June 10, marking Nassau as Breeze’s fourth international destination.
  • San Antonio (SAT) will see three new routes: to Raleigh-Durham (RDU) starting May 7, to Memphis (MEM) beginning May 8, and to Pensacola (PNS) starting June 10.
  • Other expansions include routes from Columbus, Ohio (CMH), to Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina (GSP); Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Huntsville, Alabama (HSV), and Pensacola (PNS); and a nearly cross-country flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to Louisville, Kentucky (SDF).

Boosting Connectivity in Underserved Markets

Breeze Airways’ strategic focus on connecting ‘underserved’ mid-sized markets is evident in this expansion. The arrival of Breeze at Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) is particularly notable, as it will bring the number of airlines at ACY to three, following years of Spirit Airlines being the sole carrier until Allegiant Air’s recent entry. Stephen Dougherty, executive director of the South Jersey Transportation Authority, expressed excitement, stating the new service will ‘significantly strengthen regional connectivity and drive long-term economic impact.’

Similarly, Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport (BRO) will enhance its limited lineup of U.S. carriers, which currently includes only United Express and American Eagle. David Neeleman emphasized this aspect, stating, ‘Breeze’s convenient, direct service to underserved destinations continues to resonate with travelers, and we’re eager to introduce Brownsville and Atlantic City to our unique, elevated product offering.’ The return to San Antonio also fulfills a long-standing goal for local leaders, particularly the direct service to Raleigh-Durham, crucial for the life sciences and research sectors in North Carolina’s Research Triangle, as reported by Simple Flying.

Breeze’s Strategic Growth and Offerings

Since its launch in 2021, Breeze Airways has rapidly positioned itself as a ‘premium leisure airline,’ distinguishing itself from other discounters. The carrier’s model centers on a point-to-point network, avoiding major hubs and focusing on direct flights between smaller cities. Most new routes will operate just two flights per week, catering primarily to leisure travelers.

Breeze’s fleet, primarily consisting of new Airbus A220-300 aircraft, offers customer-friendly features designed to enhance the travel experience. These include first-class seating options (dubbed Breeze Ascent), extra legroom seats, power outlets at every seat, fast onboard Wi-Fi, and streaming content.
