British journalists

Representatives of leading British media outlets, such as The Guardian, The Spectator, and The Telegraph, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial and Museum as part of their visit to Armenia. According to Armenpress, the guests were received by Lusine Abrahamyan, the Deputy Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute (AGMI). She presented the history of the memorial complex and addressed the mass killings of Armenians in the early 20th century in various Azerbaijani cities, as well as the connection to the Armenian Genocide.

The visitors honored the memory of the Genocide victims with a minute of silence at the Eternal Flame. They were also introduced to the section of the memorial featuring urns filled with soil from the graves of foreign activists and intellectuals who protested against the mass killings of Armenians during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Lord James Bryce’s support for Armenians, in particular, garnered significant interest from the visitors.

During the visit, the British media representatives also met with AGMI Director Edita Gzoyan and discussed various aspects of the Armenian Genocide.
