An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 has been recorded 30 kilometers south of Karvachar (Kelbajar), with a focal depth of 10 kilometers, according to Armenia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs. The seismic activity in the epicenter registered an intensity of 6 points.
The tremors were felt in Jermuk with an intensity of 4-5 points, in several settlements of Vayots Dzor with 2-4 points, and in Syunik province with 2-3 points.
No significant damage to infrastructure has been reported, but monitoring and assessment of possible impacts are ongoing by the relevant authorities.
