E-bikes have seen significant advancements in recent years, moving away from bulky designs to sleeker, user-friendly options. The 2025 Estarli E28.X is a perfect example of this evolution, offering an easy-to-use and stylish solution for urban riders. Priced from £1,895 ($2,400), the E28.X strikes an impressive balance between performance, design, and affordability.
Designed by British company Estarli, the E28.X aims to simplify the e-bike experience. Available in both step-through and crossbar frames, it comes in pistachio, bronze, or midnight blue colors. Co-Founder Oliver Francis explained, “The E28.X is all about comfort and ease. We designed it to remove stress and barriers, making it accessible for everyone, whether or not they’ve ridden an e-bike before.”
Equipped with a belt-drive system and an automatic two-speed motor, the E28.X automatically adjusts gears based on riding conditions. The belt-drive setup eliminates chain noise and reduces maintenance while preventing clothing from snagging. Riders can choose from five power modes using buttons on the display, ensuring a customizable experience.
The 36V, 10Ah / 360Wh battery offers a range of up to 60 miles (95 km) and recharges in just 3.5 hours. At 18.9 kg, including the battery, the E28.X is lightweight enough for easy transport. A small screen on the handlebars provides essential information, such as battery level, speed, and power mode.
Starting at £1,895 ($2,400), additional options include front suspension (£120/$150), a dropper seatpost (£95/$120), and a rear pannier rack (£45/$60).
The Estarli E28.X is ideal for those seeking an effortless transition to e-bikes, offering comfort, efficiency, and style in an accessible package.
