The government of Armenia has allocated new funding for the intensive horticulture development program, aimed at assisting beneficiaries with costs for orchard establishment and the implementation of modern irrigation systems. This initiative promotes the use of innovative technology in agriculture to improve productivity and expand industry capacity.
This year, 21 beneficiaries have participated in the program, submitting a total of 19 applications for financial support. The current funds of 219 million AMD are insufficient to cover all requests, thus necessitating an additional 1.148 billion AMD. This financial support will enable beneficiaries to enhance the productivity of their orchards and increase agricultural revenue.
