LONDON (Azat TV) – ITV News has secured a strong 17 nominations for the Royal Television Society (RTS) Television Journalism Awards 2026, marking a significant presence in one of the UK’s most prestigious broadcast journalism accolades. The nominations, announced on February 4, 2026, highlight ITV’s strong editorial output across national and regional news, current affairs, and digital platforms, positioning it as a formidable contender alongside leading broadcasters such as the BBC and Sky News.
The awards ceremony, set to celebrate outstanding broadcast journalism from the UK and internationally, will take place on March 4 at the London Hilton on Park Lane. Journalist and broadcaster Jeremy Vine, known for his Radio 2 and Channel 5 shows, will host the event, which recognises excellence across 20 competitive categories.

ITV’s 17 nominations underscore its consistent quality and impact in television journalism. The broadcaster demonstrated particular strength in the Nations and Regions categories, receiving three nominations for ‘Nations and Regions News’ and two nominations for ‘Nations and Regions Reporter of the Year’.
