BHUBANESWAR (Azat TV) – Reliance Jio is significantly expanding its digital education footprint, launching an extensive AI Classroom program across Odisha to equip thousands of students and teachers with future-ready skills, the company announced on Wednesday. This initiative coincides with preparations for the Lohana International Business Forum (LIBF) Expo 2026, set to gather global businesses at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai later this month, underscoring Jio’s multifaceted role in India’s digital transformation and economic development.
The Jio AI Classroom program, driven by Reliance Jio’s mission of ‘AI for Everyone,’ represents a free, structured national AI training initiative. Its core objective is to cultivate future skills readiness among educators and learners. According to a company statement, over 5,000 teachers and students from more than 650 schools across Odisha have already enrolled in the innovative program. This enrollment signifies a substantial step towards empowering every participant for an AI-powered future by mastering the foundational concepts of artificial intelligence.
Empowering Education Through AI
The four-week-long AI learning journey is meticulously designed for teachers and students from Class VI to Class XII. The curriculum spans a wide array of topics, including understanding AI basics, exploring generative models, mastering effective prompting techniques, and utilizing AI tools to enhance learning and creativity. Participants will gain practical experience in problem-solving, creating art, music, and stories, and developing smarter solutions. Furthermore, the program enables students and teachers to explore AI applications for website development, presentation creation, content generation, and real-world projects, culminating in their first guided AI project.
A critical component of this initiative is the provision of online expert training for teachers, empowering them to leverage AI tools for more effective daily lesson planning, grading, daily assessment charts, and the preparation of question papers. The program, powered by JioPC and created by the Jio Institute, also offers free access to advanced AI tools and aligns seamlessly with India’s National Education Policy (NEP) focus on digital upskilling. Students who complete the course via jio.com/ai-classroom using a desktop or laptop can obtain a skill certification from the Jio Institute, validating both their knowledge and practical application through assignments, particularly for those using JioPC exclusively.
As part of its commitment, JioPC has also announced an AI Classroom Scholarship. This scholarship provides learners who successfully complete the AI foundation course with subsidized access to JioPC, facilitating their work on AI projects, experiments, and practical applications without the necessity of purchasing expensive computing hardware.
