The Military Police of the Armenian Ministry of Defense has released a comprehensive review of its activities during 2024, focusing on preventive measures, disciplinary oversight, and operational efforts to enhance security and order within the armed forces.
Throughout the year, the Military Police conducted 6,842 preventive operations and unannounced inspections across military units and combat posts. These inspections uncovered prohibited items, including smartphones and other unauthorized equipment, reinforcing the importance of maintaining security protocols and discipline within the military environment.
Operational data collected by the Military Police’s subdivisions led to the detection of several violations, resulting in the initiation of criminal proceedings. Among the findings were various weapons and ammunition, including machine guns, assault rifles, and pistols, highlighting the effectiveness of the unit’s investigative measures.
Military Police personnel conducted regular visits to combat positions throughout the year, aiming to oversee the proper organization of service, identify existing challenges, and provide assistance in addressing them. These visits often included overnight stays, demonstrating a commitment to supporting military personnel on the ground.
Under the banner of “Order-Breaker 2024,” the Military Police carried out 298 disciplinary campaigns across garrison areas. These operations revealed numerous violations of military discipline. Additionally, the Military Police’s traffic inspection service maintained round-the-clock operations, identifying violations of road safety rules.
The Military Police of the Ministry of Defense encourages all servicemembers to adhere to the norms of military conduct, comply with relevant laws, charters, and orders, and contribute to maintaining discipline and security within the armed forces.
