Five Real Madrid Stars Shine in The Best FIFA Men’s 11 for 2024

The 2024 Best FIFA Men’s 11 featured a split between stars of La Liga and the Premier League, with Real Madrid dominating the selection by contributing five players after a trophy-laden season. Barcelona’s 17-year-old prodigy Lamine Yamal, who played a pivotal role in Spain’s UEFA EURO 2024 triumph, joined the list as part of La Liga’s six representatives.

The remaining five spots in the prestigious team were claimed by players from the English Premier League. Goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez and midfielder Rodri earned their places after continental triumphs this year, with Argentina securing the CONMEBOL Copa America and Spain winning UEFA EURO 2024.

How The Best FIFA Men’s 11 Was Decided
The final team was determined through a combination of votes from fans and a panel of football experts. Both groups’ votes carried equal weight, regardless of the number of voters in each category.

Players received points based on their ranking in their respective positions within each voting group. The initial selection included the top nine players with the most points across the following positional breakdown:

-One goalkeeper
-Three defenders
-Three midfielders
-Two forwards

Following this, the two outfield players with the highest remaining points, who were not already selected, were added to complete the team. The final composition adhered to a positional limit of four defenders, four midfielders, and three forwards.

The inclusion of five Real Madrid players highlights the club’s dominance over the past year, while the overall split between La Liga and the Premier League underscores the competitive strength of Europe’s top leagues.
