WhatsApp, the popular messaging app owned by Meta, is set to receive a number of exciting new features in the coming months. These updates aim to enhance the user experience and improve communication for individuals and groups, reports AndroidAuthority (AA).
The new set of filters offers a wide range of visual effects reminiscent of Instagram filters. Available options include “Warm”, “Cool”, “Black and White”, “Imaginative” and more. For those who want to change the video background during a call, WhatsApp offers more than a dozen virtual backgrounds that allow you to hide distractions or simulate different settings.
Background options include the Blur function to obscure your surroundings, as well as virtual environments such as office, sunset, forest, and even festive themes.
“These new features will be available for both individual and group video calls. Users can select the desired effects by clicking on the corresponding icon in the upper right corner of the screen. WhatsApp will make them available to all users in the coming weeks,” writes AndroidAuthority.
