Gabriel Sargsyan, a member of Armenia’s national chess team, has had a strong start at the European Rapid Chess Championship taking place in North Macedonia. After the first six rounds of the tournament, Sargsyan has scored 5.5 points, trailing the leaders by just half a point.
The next five rounds of the rapid chess competition are scheduled for December 10, while the European Blitz Chess Championship will be held on December 9.
Sargsyan’s performance so far highlights his excellent form, as he competes against Europe’s top chess players in this highly anticipated championship.
