Rain, Snow, and Ice Reported in Several Regions of Armenia; Roads Remain Passable

As of 9:00 AM on November 19, rain mixed with snow has been reported in the regions of Hrazdan, Sevan, Gavar, and Artik, according to the Road Department Foundation. In Talin, fog has reduced visibility to 70-80 meters. Despite challenging weather conditions, all interstate and national highways remain open.

Snowfall has been observed in the city of Sevan, and icy patches have formed on the Ltsen-Tatev and Aghvani-Tatev roads. Armenia’s Rescue Service has urged drivers to exercise caution, particularly in areas affected by ice.

Additionally, information from Georgia’s Emergency Situations Department and Russia’s North Ossetia Crisis Management Center confirms that the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to use winter tires, maintain vigilance, and adhere to speed limits during this period. While these weather conditions may be temporary, they require careful attention to ensure safety on the roads.
