Arsen Khanjyan from Armenia won a silver medal at the Sambo World Championships held in Astana, Kazakhstan. In the finals, Khanjyan faced Russia’s two-time world champion Anton Konovalov. Before the finals, Khanjyan triumphed over a Ukrainian opponent in the semifinals.
This achievement highlights Armenia’s standing in international sports competitions. Additionally, Armenian athletes Hamlet Sukiasyan and Anna Mkrtchyan secured bronze medals at the same championship.
