Arsenal have officially entered the race to sign West Ham midfielder Crysencio Summerville, according to reports from FootMercato. The 24-year-old Dutch international is expected to depart the Championship side this summer following the club’s relegation from the Premier League last season.
Summerville, who was signed from Leeds United two years ago for £25 million, recorded five goals and two assists during the previous Premier League campaign. His performances have attracted significant attention, with Manchester United also holding preliminary discussions regarding a potential deal. Beyond the English clubs, Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly monitoring the situation, with PSG allegedly initiating preliminary talks for both Summerville and his teammate Mateus Fernandes.
For Arsenal, the move aligns with their strategy to secure a versatile left-sided attacker. While Summerville primarily operated on the left flank for West Ham, his tactical flexibility allows him to play across the front line. The club is simultaneously exploring other options, including Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis and Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, for whom a bid of £80 million has been discussed in recent reports.
