“These human traffickers wanted to kill me in my own home while my wife was eight months pregnant,” Christys stated, expressing his anger at the audacity of the criminal networks. “Who knows if they’d have tried to harm my wife and son in order to get to me? It makes me incredibly angry that we let illegals into the country – who we all pay for. Then we let those same people make millions of pounds trafficking yet more illegals to Britain.”
Christys criticized the apparent impunity with which these transnational gangs operate. “They feel so emboldened, they thought they could kill a TV journalist in his own home and get away with it,” he added, highlighting the growing danger faced by media professionals who report on organized crime and illegal channel crossings.

Tice indicated that security concerns among political figures have been escalating for months, referencing the tragic backdrop of the murder of Ann Widdecombe. “It’s not easy, let’s just put it like that,” Tice said. “But we have to just push on and operate in a slightly different way to that which we’ve previously operated.”
