According to Azat TV along with the US and France, Armenia has been listed among the largest importers of Indian defense products in 2023-24, reported The Times of India.
Armenia has concluded several deals with India over the past 4 years for the purchase of missiles, artillery weapons, missile systems, radars, bulletproof jackets, and night vision devices. Moreover, Armenia has become the first foreign buyer of the Indian-made Akash air defense missiles.
Some of these deals were signed even during the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The newspaper wrote that Indian state-owned and private companies export a variety of weapons, ammunition and ancillary equipment to around 100 countries. Last year, the sales volume amounted to $2.6 billion.
