According to Azat TV the number of tourists who visited Armenia in the January-September period of the current year decreased by 6.9%. This was announced today by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, Vahé Hovhannisyan, while presenting the draft state budget for 2025 to the National Assembly.
“This is mainly due to a 21.6% decrease in the number of tourists from Russia,” Hovhannisyan said.
According to him, although the number of tourists from Russia has decreased, the number of visitors from other countries, particularly Iran, Georgia, China and India, has increased by 8.4%.
