Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei has responded to the U.S. Department of Justice’s statement alleging Iran’s involvement in a plot to assassinate U.S. former President Donald Trump. Baghaei called the accusations “baseless and false.”
He noted that such accusations against Iran are recurring but unfounded, labeling them as a “malicious conspiracy” intended to worsen relations between the U.S. and Iran.
The spokesperson also confirmed that Iran remains committed to defending its people’s rights using all lawful means domestically and internationally.
