Assault Investigation in Tampines
A 38-year-old man, Poh Jing Yang, was charged in court on July 1 following a violent incident in Tampines. Police report that on June 29, the suspect allegedly fired plastic pellets from an airsoft gun at a 37-year-old man at the void deck of Block 889A, Tampines Street 81.
According to the Singapore Police Force, the victim sustained injuries to his ear and forehead. Upon arrest, officers discovered a significant cache of prohibited items in the suspect’s unit, including additional airsoft guns, ammunition, a knuckle duster, and a suspected stun device. Poh has been remanded at the Institute of Mental Health for a medical examination, with his next court mention scheduled for July 15. If convicted of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons, he faces potential imprisonment, fines, and caning.
Urgent Search for Missing Minors
In a separate development, the police have launched an urgent public appeal to locate two brothers, 12-year-old Muhammad Aydrian Ruhazeeq and 13-year-old Muhammad Ayden Ruhazeeq. The siblings were last seen on June 29 at approximately 7 p.m. near Block 492E, Tampines Street 45.
Authorities have released descriptions of the boys: the younger brother was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, while the elder was wearing a yellow T-shirt.
