Armenian chess players delivered outstanding performances at the “XVIII Torneio Internacional Figueira da Foz – Sabir Ali” tournament in Portugal, claiming top honors in their respective categories.
Grandmaster Karen Grigoryan showcased exceptional skill, scoring 7.5 points out of a possible 9 and securing the title of overall tournament champion. According to the Armenian Chess Federation’s official Facebook page, Grigoryan outperformed his competitors to take the top spot in the prestigious event.
The tournament also featured Armenia’s women’s national team leader, Grandmaster Elina Danielian, who scored 6 points and claimed first place in the women’s competition. Danielian’s success further solidifies her position as a leading figure in women’s chess.
