Armenia Holds First Certification Process for Vocational and Secondary Education Teachers

Yesterday, 30.11.24, marked the first-ever mandatory certification process for teachers working in vocational and secondary education institutions in Armenia. The process was overseen by Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan and Deputy Minister Araxia Svajyan.

The certification process focused on four professional disciplines:

  • Agriculture
  • Information Technology
  • Jewelry Design
  • Culinary Arts

A total of 361 teachers participated in this inaugural certification.

Ahead of the certification process, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports organized preparatory training sessions for teachers. These sessions aimed to enhance the participants’ professional skills and readiness for the certification.

Minister Zhanna Andreasyan visited the examination centers and engaged with the teachers, discussing the effectiveness of the preparatory training and gathering feedback on their expectations and suggestions for the process. She wished the participants success and expressed hope for positive outcomes.

The certification exams were held at the following educational institutions in Yerevan:

  • G. Gulbenkian Secondary School No. 190
  • G. Stepanyan Basic School No. 135
  • S. Gevorgyan Secondary School No. 189
