Adrian Szymaniak, a prominent participant in the Polish adaptation of the reality television series Married at First Sight, has died at the age of 39 following a year-long battle with stage 4 brain cancer. His wife, Anita Szymaniak, announced his passing on Instagram, requesting privacy for the family during this difficult time.
The couple originally met during the filming of the third season of the Polish version of the show (Ślub od pierwszego wejrzenia) and married in 2018. Over the years, they welcomed two children and became one of the franchise’s most enduring couples, even renewing their wedding vows in December 2025.
According to a report by Taste of Reality, Szymaniak was diagnosed with a stage 4 brain tumor approximately one year ago. Throughout his treatment, he documented his medical journey openly on social media, sharing updates with followers in hopes of offering encouragement to others facing similar health battles. “I share my story because I have no other options, but also because I believe it can give someone hope,” he previously wrote.
Szymaniak’s death follows the recent passing of another alumnus from the global franchise; Ryan De Nino, who appeared in the second season of the United States version of the show, passed away in August 2026.
